Manu Lecomte Hits Game-Winning Floater as No. 2 Baylor Improves to 14-0

By MIKE McCURRY

Roughly one hour after top-ranked Villanova lost at Butler, Iowa State had No. 2 Baylor on the ropes down in Waco on Wednesday.

With the game tied at 63 and the Bears in danger of losing their first game of the season, Baylor’s Manu Lecomte hit an improbable, skyscraping floater with 8.2 seconds left.

Baylor would win by that 65-63 tally, improving to 14-0 in the process.

If the Bears can take care of business at home against Oklahoma State on Saturday, they could be the nation’s new No. 1 team come Monday.
