Duke Freshman Jayson Tatum to Make Debut Saturday Vs. Maine

Duke freshman Jayson Tatum will make his season debut in Saturday’s game against Maine.

The 6-foot-8 Tatum suffered a foot sprain in late October during one of Duke’s NBA Pro Days and has not played this season.

He is the projected No. 6 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft by DraftExpress.com.

Fellow freshmen Harry Giles and Marques Bolden have also yet to play due to knee and leg injuries. Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said on his pre-game show that Bolden could play, too.

Duke will also rest freshman guard Frank Jackson and junior guard Grayson Allen for the game, per a school spokesman.
