Duke’s Marques Bolden Sustains Lower-Leg Injury

Duke freshman Marques Bolden sustained a lower leg injury Monday and will miss Duke’s home games on November 11 and 12, the team announced. He will be re-evaluated following the weekend.

The projected No. 1 team in the nation, Duke will open the season on Nov. 11 against Marist.

Bolden scored 13 points and had 11 rebounds in Duke’s exhibition win over Virginia State on Oct. 28. He did not play in Duke’s exhibition finale on November 4.

Duke is already without freshmen stars, Jayson Tatum and Harry Giles. Duke is the preseason No. 1 team in the USA Today/Coaches’ Poll.

Bolden is projected as the No. 8 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft by DraftExpress.com.
