Malachi Richardson, Cheick Diallo Move Up On Latest Mock Draft

Malachi Richardson and Cheick Diallo are among the players to move up on the latest Draft Express Mock Draft released Monday.

The 6-foot-6 Richardson, who left Syracuse after his freshman season, is up to No. 16 to the Boston Celtics, while the 6-9 Diallo, who departed Kansas after one season, is now at No. 19 to the Denver Nuggets. Richardson was projected at No. 31 and Diallo at 23 before Monday.

Richardson will work out this week for the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday (today), the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday and the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, according to Mike Waters of the Syracuse Post-Standard.

Meantime, Diallo works out Wednesday for the Clippers.

Ben Simmons, Brandon Ingram and Marquese Chriss remain the projected 1-2-3 picks on the site. All three picks are one-and-dones.

Ingram worked out on Monday for the Philadelphia 76ers, who own the No. 1 pick in the June 23rd NBA Draft. The franchise said Simmons has not planned a workout with them, and he is not slated to work out for anyone at this point.

After that the Top 10 features international power forward Dragan Bender at No. 4 to Phoenix; Providence point guard Kris Dunn at No. 5 to Minnesota; Oklahoma shooting guard Buddy Hield at No. 6 to New Orleans; Cal small forward Jaylen Brown at No. 7 to Denver; Kentucky combo guard Jamal Murray at No. 8 to Sacramento; Utah center Jakob Poeltl at No. 9 to Toronto; and Marquette power forward Henry Ellenson at No. 10 to Milwaukee.

The rest of the lottery features Kentucky big man Skal Labissiere at No. 11 to Orlando; Vanderbilt point guard Wade Baldwin at No. 12 to Utah; Michigan State forward Deyonta Davis at No. 13 to Phoenix; and international shooting guard Timothe Luwawu at No. 14 to Chicago.

 

**Among Kentucky players, the site has Murray at No. 8, Labissiere at No. 11 and sophomore point guard Tyler Ulis at No. 34 to Phoenix.

**Other schools with multiple players projected in the first round include Vanderbilt with Baldwin at No. 12 and Damion Jones at No. 22 and Michigan State with Davis at No. 13 and Denzel Valentine at No. 23 to Boston.

**Among Boston’s eight picks are Chriss at No. 3, Richardson at No. 16, Valentine at No. 23, former UNC power Brice Johnson at No. 31, former Athlete Institute (Ontario) power forward Thon Maker at No. 35, former Purdue center A.J. Hammons at No. 45, former Maryland small forward Jake Layman at No. 51 and Weber State center Joel Bolomboy at No. 58.

**Former Oklahoma point guard Isaiah Cousins is now projected at No. 53 to Denver, while former Seton Hall point guard Isaiah Whitehead is projected at No. 56, also to Denver.
