UNLV Transfer Dwayne Morgan Has Top 4

Transferring UNLV sophomore forward Dwyane Morgan has a top four of St. John’s, Clemson, Maryland and VCU, team Melo Basketball coach Dwayne Wise told SNY.tv.

“Those are the only schools he’s going to visit,” Wise said.

The 6-foot-8 Morgan averaged 5.5 points and 4.7 rebounds in 19.3 minutes with the Runnin’ Rebels. He will sit out the upcoming season.

Wise said no visits have yet been set, but that Morgan won’t take any until after the semester ends at UNLV in mid-may.

“Right after the semester,” Wise said. “He wants to leave the school in good academic standing. Whenever you get a lot of transfers, it goes against the school’s APR and he doesn’t want to leave them like that.”

St. John’s in the mix for Arizona freshman guard Justin Simon and Michigan State sophomore forward Marvin Clark and is working on visits for both, sources said.
