Just a few days after naming his top five schools, Jermaine Samuels Jr. is off the board.
The 6-foot-6 wing from the Weston (MA) Rivers School chose reigning national champion Villanova over Duke, Georgetown, Indiana and Kansas.

Samuels Jr. just completed an official visit to Villanova earlier this week.
“Villanova was also a great experience,” he said.
Samuels is Villanova’s second Class of 2017 commit, following Team Final center Dhamir Cosby-Roundtree.
“He’s very athletic with great character and work ethic,” said Todd Quarles of Expressions Elite. “He has a winning mentality that allows him to compete at a higher level than others.”
Duke on Friday added 6-5 shooting guard Alex O’Connell of Alpharetta (GA) Milton, which may have factored into Samuels’ thinking.
