Eli Brooks is off the board to Michigan.
The 6-foot-1 Class of 2017 point guard from Spring Grove (Pa.) High School and the Jersey Shore Warriors AAU program committed to John Beilein’s program on Tuesday.
“It was a great feel and I really enjoyed the people and the campus,” he told SNY.tv of his visit.
Brooks, who joins 6-5 shooting guard Jordan Poole in Michigan’s 2017 class, recently visited Ohio State, Michigan and Villanova.
Tony Sagona of the Jersey Shore Warriors said Brooks chose Michigan over Villanova, Ohio State, N.C. State, Temple, Kansas State and George Mason.
“On his visit he loved the school [Michigan], the campus and coaches,” Sagona told SNY.tv. “Eli is a point guard who can make everyone better and attacks the basket as well.
“He has a great understanding of the game and is an excellent passer and very athletic. He’s a great shooter, too.”
