DETROIT — For two weeks last spring, Tyler Hansbrough thought long and hard about whether to turn pro or return for his senior season at North Carolina.
Several of his talented teammates — Ty Lawson, Wayne Ellington and Danny Green — also weighed thoughts of heading to the fame and fortune of the NBA.
After all four had gathered enough information and ultimately decided to return to pursue the NCAA championship that eluded them in 2008, Tar Heels coach Roy Williams called them into his office and put down the law.
