SPARTANBURG, S.C.– The best of the best came out for Romeo Langford this week
Louisville coach Rick Pitino saw Langford play on Thursday, Kentucky coach John Calipari was in the building on Friday, with North Carolina head man Roy Williams watching him on Saturday.
“I didn’t even know they were there,” the 6-foot-6 Langford said Saturday after a win over Indiana Elite in which he scored 14 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. “My phone hasn’t been to bad to be honest. They mainly contact my dad.”
When he was asked specifically about whether he looked at how each school develops players for the pros, Langford was emphatic that it was something that he will be looking at when he chooses to make a decision.
“I pay close attention to that,” Langford said. “That’s my goal, so I really do pay close attention to that.”
Ranked No. 2 in the class of 2018 by 247 Sports, the New Albany (Ind.) put on a show against eventual champs Mass Rivals, scoring 25 points, and grabbing 6 rebounds in front of Calipari and Tom Crean.
Langford currently holds offers from LSU, N.C. State, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Duke, Kansas, Indiana, Louisville, Purdue and UCLA.
