De’Ron Davis Down to Indiana, Mississippi State

DavisDe’Ron Davis, a 6-foot-9 power forward from Aurora (CO) Overland, is now down to Indiana and Mississippi State after cutting Arizona from his list.

Arizona landed a pledge over the weekend from 6-10 Finnish big man Lauri Markkanen, effectively taking them out of the mix for Davis.

“After they got the commitment from Markkanen, De’Ron went another direction,” Danny Fisher, Davis’ high school coach, told InsidetheHall.com.

Davis, ranked the No. 10 power forward in the Class of 2016 by 2147Sports.com, has visited Indiana and will trip to Mississippi State Nov. 5-7.

Arizona, meantime, remains alive for power forward Mitch Lightfoot, who has a final five of Arizona, Kansas, St. John’s, Stanford and Utah and announces Saturday.
