T.J. Leaf Down to 3 Schools, Says Oregon Visit ‘Could Not Have Gone Better’

4_947893T.J. Leaf is down to three schools in his recruitment.

Ranked the No. 5 power forward in the Class of 2016 by 247Sports.com, Leaf said he’s now considering Oregon, UCLA and San Diego State. Louisville and North Carolina are no longer under consideration.

“Yes,” he said by text.

As for his Oregon official this past weekend, he enjoyed it quite a bit.

“All I’m gonna say is, it couldn’t have gone better for me,” he said.

Next up is UCLA on Oct. 23. He has also visited San Diego State unofficially.

“Most of the schools I have on there, I have them on there because the coaches are really free, they let you do things,” he told SNY.tv in August. “Every single school in there, the coaches let you play with freedom. You don’t have to look over your shoulder and think, ‘If I take a bad shot, I’m out’. You can run, you can take quick shots and that’s what I like.”

Leaf decommitted from Arizona in August.

“I just think there can be better opportunities for me elsewhere,” he said.
