Winston, ranked the No. 5 point guard in the Class of 2016 by 247Sports.com, is currently on an official to Michigan State along with close friend Miles Bridges and others. They are on campus for the big Oregon-Michigan State football game Saturday night.
Winston has also taken officials to Stanford and Pittsburgh, and recently dropped Michigan from his list.
He averaged 19.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game with The Family on the Nike EYBL circuit.
Michigan State would love to land both Bridges and Winston, which could be a possibility. Bridges is also considering Kentucky, North Carolina, Michigan and Indiana.
Bridges told me at the Peach Jam if he goes to Michigan or Michigan State, “I’ll have Cassius go with me. but if I go to Kentucky or anywhere else, Cassius won’t go with me.”
