Seventh Woods, the 6-foot-2 point guard from the Columbia (S.C.) Hammond School, has cut his list to three schools.

Woods is down to Georgetown, North Carolina and South Carolina, with Florida no longer in the mix, according to MidlandsHSSports.com.

The No. 5-ranked point guard in the Class of 2016 according to 247Sports.com, Woods will visit Georgetown Sept. 11-13, North Carolina Sept. 25-27 and South Carolina Oct. 9-11, the site reported.

When I asked Woods in July about his schools, he made a few comments on North and South Carolina. Georgetown was not heavily in the mix then.

Of North Carolina, he said, “They play at a fast pace and that’s what I like most.”

South Carolina is the local school.

“That’s my home-state so I feel like I owe them something, so USC is always on my list,” he said.

Woods has visited the campus multiple time for games.

“Yeah, I love it,” he said.

Wherever he goes, Woods could be a major factor.

“Just attacking the basket and just running my team as a point guard,” he said.
