De’Aaron Fox Cuts to 7 Schools

4_2917411Senior point guard De’Aaron Fox, one of the top playmakers in the Class of 2016, announced on Twitter that he has cut his list to seven schools.

And they are seven college basketball heavyweights: Arizona, Kentucky, Kansas, Louisville, LSU, N.C. State and North Carolina.

The 6-foot-4 floor general from Katy (TX) Cypress Lakes broke down all seven schools for Scout.com and said he hopes to visit Kentucky and Kansas.

“Right now I really want to visit Kansas and Kentucky,” he told the site. “Those are the two I definitely will visit.”

Fox is highly impressive, both as a point guard and as a person and indicated during an interview at the Peach Jam that he has done extensive research on all his schools.

“The main factors for me are playing time and my relationship with the coach,” he said then. “I don’t want to go somewhere that you’re not going to play. That’s how guys end up transferring. But if you have a bad relationship with the head coach, guys end up transferring because of that, too. So those are the main things.”
