Boston College Lands Florida Transfer Eli Carter

IsE51S0Z_400x400Florida transfer Elijah Carter is headed to Boston College and will be immediately eligible.

“First I would like to say thanks to all three schools for the relentless pursuit in my abilities. I will be doing my final year of collegiate basketball at Boston College ! #EAGLES,” he announced on Twitter.

The 6-foot-2 New Jersey native recently visited Georgetown and UNLV but is headed to the ACC instead.

Carter is seeking a Master’s degree and that factored into his decision, his father told SNY.tv.

“Boston College is a good place to study and achieve a Masters Degree,” Dale Sterling told SNY.tv. “It’s a wonderful opportunity, and also he’ll play in the ACC which is a great conference. Our goal as a family is to ensure our children achieve all that they can.”

Carter averaged 8.8 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists last season for the Gators. He began his career at Rutgers.
