“I want to thank the coaching staff, my teammates and everyone at Florida for my experience here,” the 6-foot-10 Florida sophomore said in a statement. “I’m excited to continue pursuing my dream of playing professionally.”

“Chris has been a pleasure to coach,” Florida coach Billy Donovan said. “He is a great kid with a lot of potential, and everyone here wishes the absolute best for him.”

Walker averaged just 4.7 points and 3.5 rebounds last season.

In April of 2014, Walker was projected as the No. 10 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft by DraftExpress.com. Now he’s listed as the No.72 prospect and is not in any of the site’s mock drafts.

“He’s a long way from being a productive NBA player,” one NBA scout told SNY.tv. “Possible second-rounder who will spend time in the D-League next year if he puts his name in the draft.”
