Recruiting Roundup: Weekend Visits & Tidbits

tyus-battle1With the NCAA contact period kicking off today, here’s an early look at this weekend’s recruiting visits. This list was compiled via sources and reports from Jon Rothstein of CBSSports.com and Alex Kline of The Recruit Scoop. It will be updated throughout the weekend.

**Tyus Battle, the 2016 combo guard from Gladstone (N.J.) Gill St. Bernard’s, takes official visits to Duke April 17-19 and to Louisville April 19-21. More here.

**Cheick Diallo of Our Savior New American is tentatively slated to have home visits this weekend with Kansas coach Bill Self and St. John’s coach Chris Mullin, per sources.

**Brandon Ingram of Kinston (N.C.) met with Duke coaches Friday morning and will meet with Kentucky coaches Friday night, according to Ben Roberts. He’s also scheduled to host Kansas (Saturday), N.C. State (Monday) and North Carolina (Wednesday) next, per Roberts.

**Drexel transfer Damion Lee visits Arizona April 17-19 and Louisville April 19-21. More here.

**Arizona also hosts San Francisco grad transfer Mark Tollefsen.

**College of Southern Idaho power forward Ray Kasongo visits Mississippi State beginning Friday. More here.

**Mike Thorne, the 6-11 Charlotte transfer, visits Illinois this weekend and will also see Kentucky and Kansas. More here.

**Alabama transfer Ricky Tarrant visits Memphis, sources confirmed.

**Rutgers transfer Junior Etou and Robert Morris transfer Marcquise Reed visit Tulsa, sources confirmed.

**T.J. Gibbs, the 2016 Seton Hall Prep shooting guard, visits Oklahoma beginning Friday.

**George Washington hosts Seton Hall transfer Jaren Sina and 2016 guard Quinton Rose. Kline reported the Rose visit.

**Baylor hosts Miami transfer Manu Lecomte and USF transfer Anthony Collins. Lecomte is also considering St. John’s, Dayton, Purdue, Illinois, Indiana and Providence, he told SNY.tv.

**UConn hosts Cornell transfer Shonn Miller and 2016 guard Alterqiue Gilbert, sources confirmed.

**USF hosts Gonzaga transfer Angel Nunez, Miami transfer Deandre Burnett and 2015 Philly Constitution guard Ahmad Gilbert, sources confirmed. Nunez will visit Texas Southern next weekend and St. John’s May 1-3, he confirmed to SNY.tv.

**South Carolina hosts 2015 Burlington (N.J.) Life Center wing Malik Ellison. Ellison may also meet Monday with Minnesota coach Richard Pitino.

**UNLV will host Washington transfer and former Findlay Prep guard Nigel Williams-Goss, according to reports, and Mercer transfer Ike Nwamu, Nwamu will also visit Pitt.

**Kansas State transfer Marcus Foster will visit Creighton this weekend.

**Ole Miss will host Memphis transfer Nick King. Rothstein reported he also plans to visit Arkansas and Alabama.

**UMass will host Texas A&M transfer Antwan Space and Robert Morris transfer Marquise Reed, according to reports.

**Iowa State transfer Clayton Custer will visit Creighton followed by Loyola, and Missouri and Wichita State, according to a report.

**Sedee Keita, a 6-10 2016 big man from 22 Feet Academy, takes an official to Auburn Saturday, his coach confirmed to SNY.tv.

**Lamar Stevens, a 2016 small forward from the Haverford (PA) School, visits Villanova, sources confirmed.
