Transfers Mike Thorne, Eric Paschall Planning Visits

INDIANAPOLIS — Charlotte transfer Mike Thorne and Fordham’s Eric Paschall are both planning visits, according to Jon Rothstein of CBSSports.com.

The 6-foot-11, 275-pound Thorne will visit Pittsburgh on Thursday, sources confirmed to SNY.tv, followed by Illinois April 17-19 and Kansas April 26-28, as Rothstein reported.

Thorne previously told SNY.tv he’s considering Arizona, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Illinois, Kansas, Pittsburgh and “possibly N.C. State.”

He recently met with Illinois coach John Groce.

Thorne averaged 10.1 points and 7.3 rebounds in 26.1 minutes per game this past season for Charlotte (14-18 , 7-11 Conference USA). He will graduate in May and will be immediately eligible.

As for the 6-6 Paschall, he will visit Florida this weekend, per Rothstein, after having already visited Villanova. He is also considering Providence.

He is the reigning Atlantic 10 Freshman of the Year.
