Kentucky-Bound Briscoe Scores 2,000th Career Point

One night after propelling Roselle (N.J) Catholic into the Union County championship game, Kentucky-bound point guard Isaiah Briscoe scored his 2,000th career point.

Briscoe’s 2000th came on a one-handed dunk off an assist by teammate Pierre Sarr. He finished with 24 points, 9 assists and 4 steals on Senior Night as RC beat Union Catholic, 73-51.

On Wednesday night, Briscoe went off for 34 points as RC fended off St. Mary-Elizabeth in a 78-74 win that propelled the Lions into the county final where they will meet Linden on Saturday night.

A McDonald’s All-American who played is first two high school seasons at St. Benedict’s Prep, Briscoe is projected as the No. 14 pick in the 2016 NBA Draft by DraftExpress.com. Both Kentucky coach John Calipari and Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving recently discussed his pro prospects.
