Recruiting Roundup: Kyle Alexander Visits St. Bonaventure, Planning Other Trips; Levi Cook Updates Recruitment; UNLV Watches Kasongo

Kyle AlexanderKyle Alexander, a 6-foot-10 2015 forward from Orangeville Prep in Ontario, enjoyed his weekend visit to St. Bonaventure and is still planning his other officials.

The visit was “great,” his father, Joseph, told SNY.tv.

“They answered all of our questions and focused on what he asked for, which was getting specifics about his major,” Joseph said. “Kyle really liked the coaching staff, as did my wife and I. It was an informative visit for Kyle.”

Alexander has an official set for Pittsburgh Feb. 13-15 and Rice, Rhode Island and Western Kentucky also want him to visit.

“We’ll see if the Pitt visit happens and decide where the final three visits will be after that,” he said.

COOK PLANNING MIZZOU, PITT VISITS

Levi Cook, the 6-foot-10, 300-pound senior center from Huntington (W.V.) Prep, didn’t end up visiting South Carolina this weekend but their staff came to see him play.

He plans to visit Pittsburgh and Missouri after the season, he told SNY.tv.

Pitt, Virginia Tech and South Carolina are among those recruiting him the hardest, he said in this interview.

UNLV WATCHES KASONGO

UNLV assistant Todd Simon watched Southern Idaho big man Ray Kasongo on Tuesday. The 6-foot-9 Kasongo is a former Oregon commit who was not admitted to the school.
