Canadian Point Guard Jamal Murray Adds Offers from Maryland, Wake Forest

Orangeville Prep point guard Jamal Murray picked up two more high-majors, his father told SNY.tv.

“Wake Forest and Maryland offered J,” Roger Murray said.

They also took an unofficial visit to Maryland this past weekend while in the D.C. area.

“We just stopped by to see the game,” Roger said.

Murray is a 6-foot-4 combo guard from Orangeville Prep in Ontario ranked No. 30 in the Class of 2016 by Scout and No. 19 by Rivals. As previously reported here, he is considering reclassifying to 2015.

“We’re thinking about it but we haven’t decided yet,” Roger Murray said. “It’s on the table but we haven’t decided yet.”

Ohio State, Syracuse, Michigan, Michigan State, Indiana, Illinois, Louisville and Oregon were among the schools recruiting Murray previously.

Wake Forest also offered 2016 Thon Maker and 2017 Matur Maker, according to Orangeville Prep head coach Larry Blunt.
