Blake Harris Transfers to Montverde Academy

6_3144499 (1)By JACK LeGWIN

Blake Harris has transferred to Montverde Academy (Fla.) from Carlisle School (Va.).

Harris took unofficial visits to Duke and North Carolina recently.

Harris’ parents both attended North Carolina, with his father Rolando playing football as a Tar Heel and continuing his career in the NFL for the Packers and the Ravens.

The 6-foot-3 guard is ranked No. 13 in the nation in the Class of 2017 by 247 Sports, and is a big piece for Montverde moving forward over the next couple years. He will share the same backcourt as Ty Graves, who just recently transferred. They will play along with Howard Washington, Martez Cameron, Marcel Ponitka and Marquez Letcher-Ellis.

Harris currently has offers from Virginia Tech, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Norfolk State and UNC-Greensboro.

Montverde is ranked No.1 in the nation by USA Today.
