Recruiting Rundown: Weekend Visits & Tidbits

Here’s your Friday morning look-ahead to the weekend’s recruiting visits and other news:

**After hosting Louisville’s Rick Pitino, Villanova’s Jay Wright and Rutgers’ Eddie Jordan this week at Gill St. Bernard’s, 2016 guard Tyus Battle will host Kentucky’s John Calipari on Friday. Battle will also trip to Kentucky’s Big Blue Madness, along with Duke’s, and possibly’s Villanova’s, Midnight Madness events.

**Steven Enoch, a 6-10 forward from St. Thomas More, will take an official visit to UConn this weekend and could end up committing on the trip. Enoch told SNY.tv this summer he grew up a huge UConn fan.

**Jarvis Johnson, a 6-1 shooting guard from Minneapolis (MN) DelaSalle, is expected to announce for Minnesota over Wisconsin, Michigan State, UNLV & Baylor. Minnesota and coach Richard Pitino already have three commits in point guard Kevin Dorsey, shooting guard DuPree McBrayer and big man Jonathan Nwankwo.

**Dedric Lawson, a 6-8 power forward from Memphis (TN) Hamilton, reclassed to 2015 from 2016 and will enroll at Memphis then with his brother, 6-7 wing K.J. Lawson.

**Elijah Thomas, the 6-foot-9 big man from Rockwall (TX) Lancaster, takes an official to Oklahoma State. He has already tripped to LSU and has future visits set for Illinois (Sept. 20), SMU (Oct. 3) and Texas A&M (Oct. 11).

**Jalen Poyser, a 6-foot-4 point guard from Canada’s Athlete Institute, takes an official to Rhode Island. He will also visit Oklahoma (Oct. 3-5) and UNLV (TBD), his father told SNY.tv.

**Bryant Crawford, a 6-foot-3 point guard from Washington, D.C. Gonzaga, takes an official to Georgetown this weekend after visiting Wake Forest last weekend. He also had an in-home this week with Tennessee.

**Skal Labissiere,  the 6-foot-10 forward from Lausanne Collegiate School, is also at Georgetown this weekend on an official. He has also visited North Carolina and will hit Kentucky (Sept. 19-21), Tennessee (Oct. 3-5) and Baylor (Oct. 10-12) and then Memphis (Oct. 31) for an unofficial.

**Chris Silva, a 6-9 power forward from Roselle (N.J.) Catholic, takes an official to South Carolina this weekend. He has also visited Seton Hall and Rhode Island, and may trip to Kansas State.

**Quentin Goodin, a 6-foot-2 point guard from Taylor County (Ky.), takes an official to Florida.

**Chance Comanche, a 6-9 center from Los Angeles Park View Prep, takes an official to Arizona.

**Miles Bridges, a 6-5 small forward from Huntington (W.V.) Prep, trips to Louisville after hitting Iowa State last weekend.

**Jaylen Brown, the No. 1 player in the Class of 2015 out of Marietta (GA) Wheeler, will have an in-home with Georgia Friday after in-homes this week with Kentucky, Kansas and UCLA. Brown will likely wait until the spring to decide.

**Brandon Ingram, the 6-8 forward from Kinston (N.C.), has an in-home with UCLA after visits this week with Kentucky and Kansas.

**Cheick Diallo, the 6-9 big man from Our Savior New American (N.Y.), has a home visit Friday with Kansas following one with Iowa State Thursday. Pittsburgh was in Wednesday and Kentucky’s John Calipari comes in Sept. 18.

**Thon Maker, the 7-foot 2016 big man from Athlete Institute in Ontario, Canada, will host Kansas coach Bill Self and assistant Norm Roberts.

**On Saturday, Isaiah Briscoe, the 6-3 point guard from Roselle Catholic, has a home visit with Seton Hall coach Kevin Willard. Georgia Tech is due in Sunday.

**This weekend, Stephen Zimmerman, the 7-foot center from Las Vegas Bishop Gorman, has home visits with Kentucky’s John Calipari (Saturday) and Kansas’ Bill Self (Sunday). Zimmerman also hosts UCLA (Monday), Notre Dame (Tuesday) and Indiana (Wednesday.)

**Following his in-home Thursday with Boston College, 6-5 St. Anthony forward Markis McDuffie has an in-home with VCU Friday, followed by Wichita State on Monday and SMU Tuesday. He has official visits set for VCU and Wichita State over the next two weekends.
