As expected, Indiana has picked up a pledge from Juwan Morgan, the No. 63-ranked player in the 2015 class by 247 Sports.
Morgan chose Indiana over Vanderbilt after visiting Indiana this past weekend.
“Academics, player development and playing time were very important to me,” Morgan said. “I’ve decided to continue my education at Indiana University. I feel like they can give me the best in all three things. I went there on a visit and knew it was the right place for me.”
Listed at 6-foot-9 220 pounds, Morgan should help the hoosiers front court right away, just by rebounding. He averaged 12.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.4 blocks, and 2.2 steals for MOKAN Elite at Peach Jam.
One D-1 coach said that Morgan “has a chance to be a pro” and has a “tremendous IQ.”
Morgan is the first pledge for the Hoosiers in the Class of 2015.
