Jalen Brunson Sets Five Visits

4_2915657By JACK LeGWIN

Jalen Brunson has set all five of his official visits.

The 6-foot-1 point guard from Lincolnshire (IL) Stevenson will visit Illinois from Aug. 29-31, Villanova from Sept. 4-6, Temple from Sept. 11-13, Michigan State from Sept. 19-21 and Purdue from Sept. 26-28.

Temple was reportedly set to hire Rick Brunson, the former pro and Jalen’s father, as an assistant coach but the elder Brunson was charged in July with criminal sexual assault and battery following an encounter with a massage therapist.

Brunson is also considering Kansas, Michigan and UConn.

Brunson averaged 26.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 2.9 steals per game in his junior year at Stevenson (IL), which included a 56 point performance against Whitney Young and rising Duke freshman, Jahlil Okafor.

A smooth lefty, suited who up for Mac Irvin Fire this summer on the EYBL Circuit, Brunson played for the Team USA U18 team that won gold in the FIBA Americas event in Colorado Springs.
