WOODALL TO REDSHIRT
Pittsburgh freshman guard Travon Woodall, a Paterson, N.J. native who helped Bob Hurley’s St. Anthony of Jersey City team win the mythical national prep championship last season, will apply for a medical redshirt after this season. “It is most likely that Pitt will apply for a medical redshirt at the end of the year,” a Pitt spokesman said.
PROVIDENCE ADDS BIG MAN
Ross Permenter, a 6-9 junior college player from Temple, Texas, has verbally committed to Providence, according to the Providence Journal. Permenter was sitting behind the PC bench during Saturday night’s game against Rutgers.
