LOUISVILLE, Ky.- Malik Beasley’s AAU career is now over, but that won’t stop him from working hard to end the summer.
“It’s tough, but I had a lot of fun,” Beasley told SNY.tv after a 58-50 loss to Chicago Lockdown in the Silver Bracket in the Gold Super Showcase. “It’s time to get back to work tomorrow, so that I can kill for the rest of the summer.”
Beasley has a deadline set to let schools know what his list will be.
“I’m waiting until the end of July to let everyone know what my top 7 or 10 schools are,” Beasley said.
While he’s waiting to let everyone know who is working the hardest, Beasley had words of praise for the St. John’s program.
“Coach Lavin is a good coach,” Beasley said. “They have a great program, especially playing at Madison Square Garden, that’s always been my dream to play in the NBA. It’s a great school.”
Beasley is ranked No. 26 in the class of 2015 by 247 Sports and has offers from Georgia, Auburn, St. John’s, UCLA, Florida State, Clemson, Cincinnati, UConn, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Ole’ Miss, Oregon, SMU, Tennessee, Texas Tech, VCU, Virginia Tech, Wichita State, and many others.
