Schools Reaching Out to Wake Transfer Tyler Cavanaugh

Baylor, California, Dayton and George Washington were the first schools to reach out to Wake Forest transfer Tyler Cavanaugh, Albany City Rocks coach Jim Hart told SNY.tv Saturday afternoon.

The 6-foot-9 junior forward is transferring from Wake Forest, the Winston-Salem Journal reported Friday.

He averaged 8.8 points and 3.8 rebounds over 21.2 minutes a game last season.

Cavanaugh is the third Wake player to transfer since Danny Manning became head coach, following Arnaud Adala Moto (Towson) and Shelton Mitchell (Vanderbilt).
