Miles Bridges Talks Michigan State Visit

MILES-BRIDGES-131118While home in Flint, MI for winter break, Miles Bridges took an unofficial visit to Michigan State on Saturday.

The 6-foot-6 2016 Huntington (W.V.) Prep forward watched as the No. 5 Spartans crushed New Orleans, 101-48.

“It was good,” Bridges told SNY.tv. “I got to watch the game, go into the locker room, talk to some of the players and the coaches. It went pretty good.”

Spartans coach Tom Izzo told Bridges, “If I keep on working I have a chance to come in and play a lot.”

The Spartans have yet to offer Bridges, but he likes the idea of potentially playing close to home.

“Yeah I like that,” he said. “On vacations I won’t have to drive far to get home and I know my way around there.”

Asked if they were high on his list at this point, Bridges said, “Yeah, they are.”

He also holds offers from Providence, Iowa State and West Virginia and says Indiana, Kansas and Kentucky have shown interest.

“[Kentucky] comes to see my games once in a while but they don’t talk to me,” he said.

Playing alongside top recruits Josh Perkins, JaQuan Lyle and Montaque Gill-Caesar at Huntington Prep, Bridges has transformed from a player who wasn’t nationally ranked to the No. 18-ranked player in the country by Rivals in the Class of 2016.

“It’s going real good,” he said of a team that’s currently 12-4. “I’m getting to know the players and the coaches. We just gotta play together and we’ll start winning more games.”
