Former UCLA pledge Trevon Bluiett is expected to pick his new home sometime this week, his father told SNY.tv.
“Definitely by this week, I think we want to have it out the way, man,” Rey Blueitt said by phone.
The 6-foot-5 Indianapolis Park Tudor small forward is considering Butler, Memphis, Michigan State and Xavier.
Bluiett has had varying degrees of contact with each school in the past week.
He visited Xavier for a soccer game this past weekend following a visit to basketball practice there last week.
Last Friday, Bluiett had a home visit with Michigan State coach Tom Izzo.
“It’s a want and a need,” Rey said of MSU’s approach.
Memphis coach Josh Pastner and Butler coach Brandon Miller also watched Bluiett last Thursday in an open gym.
Now a decision could come soon.
“It’ll be this week, we [are] not a putting a time on it,” Rey said.
