Trevon Bluiett Decommits from UCLA

Trevon Bluiett has decommitted from UCLA, as reported by the Indianapolis Star.

“I think the distance part of it played a factor,” Bluiett’s father, Reynardo Bluiett, told the paper. “When he sat down and thought about it, I think the distance from home was hard for him.”

The 6-foot-6 Bluiett is ranked No. 46 nationally by Rivals and committed to UCLA last month over Arizona, Butler, Indiana, Michigan, Purdue and Xavier.

UCLA assistant Ed Schilling coached him at Indianapolis (IN) Park Tudor before joining head coach Steve Alford’s staff.

Renardo Bluiett said it was unclear what schools his son would consider going forward.

“We haven’t got that far yet,” he said.
