Namon Wright, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Los Angeles Pacific Hills School, committed to Missouri on Saturday.
“Mizzou!!!!!!!” he Tweeted.
“It’s a family environment,” he told SNY.tv by text. “I feel I can become a better person and player coming here. The academic support for student-athletes is amazing. Everything seems to be perfect.”
An athlete with good ball skills who can shoot it, Wright also visited UTEP but cancelled his other visits.
“I will bring fun energy and hard work to the team,” he said.
He joins power forward JaKeenan Gant of Springfield (Ga.) Effingham County in Mizzou’s 2014 class. They are also involved with Chipola (FL) shooting guard Sam Cassell Jr., who visited Louisville this weekend and is also considering UConn and Marquette, as well as Moss Point (Miss.) shooting guard Devin Booker, who is also considering Michigan, Michigan State, Kentucky and Florida. Booker visited Michigan this weekend, and trips to Mizzou Oct. 18.
