Quadri Moore Close to Deciding

Linden (N.J.) 2014 big man Quadri Moore is close to pulling the trigger.

“I’m going to decide something next week on where I want to go,” Moore told SNY.tv Saturday evening.

Sources said the 6-foot-8, 225-pound Moore is down to Seton Hall and Cincinnati, although he previously considered Wake Forest, Miami and Temple.

Seton Hall has enjoyed terrific momentum in recruiting circles in recent weeks. The Pirates last week added 6-3 Brooklyn Bishop Loughlin combo guard Khadeen Carrington to a 2014 class that already included 6-9 Huntington (W.V.) Prep forward Angel Delgado and 6-7 combo forward Ismael Sanogo of Newark East Side.

On Saturday, Brooklyn Lincoln guard Isaiah Whitehead — one of the top shooting guards in the Class of 2014 — visited Seton Hall with Lincoln coach Tiny Morton.

“It was great,” Morton told SNY.tv.

Whitehead also Tweeted he will take an unofficial to St. John’s this week.

Sources said Seton Hall has just one scholarship left, but recruiting is fluid so things could change.

Meantime, Cincinnati has had success recruiting the New York/ New Jersey area under coach Mick Cronin, having landed Lance Stephenson, Jermaine Sanders, Shaq Thomas and Jermaine Lawrence in recent years.
