Angel Delgado, the rebounding machine who took the Nike EYBL rebounding title this summer, committed to Seton Hall on Friday, sources confirmed to SNY.tv.

The news was previously reported by Scout.com.

The Dominican who recently transferred to Huntington (W.V.) Prep was also being recruited by Kentucky, Virginia, Florida State and Fordham. Kentucky had not offered.

Delgado averaged 13.6 points and 11.3 rebounds on the EYBL circuit, and 15.2 points and 10.4 rebounds at the Peach Jam.

Asked what he brings to Seton Hall, Huntington Prep coach Rob Fulford told SNY.tv: “Energy, toughness and rebounding. Take those three things and multiply by 100. He’s relentless.”

The 6-foot-9 2014 forward has been in the United States for less than a year since coming over from the Dominican Republic.

“Solid, not flashy, he just gets the job done,” one high-major Division 1 assistant told SNY.tv of Delgado, who spent last season at Troy (N.Y.) Redemption Academy.

Delgado said he’s played basketball for eight years in the Dominican, but emerged over the summer while playing at the LeBron James Skills Academy, the NBPA Top 100 Camp and Peach Jam

“I think the last two camps that he’s been to, now nationally, everybody’s starting to recognize him,” Lightning assistant Dana Dingle said at the Peach jam.

And why not?

The guy is a true rebounding machine.

“I really love rebound,” Delgado said.

Asked if he was always like that, he said, “Always, always.”
