Abu Visits N.C. State, UConn After Providence

Having visited Providence over the weekend, 6-foot-8 forward Abdul Malik Abu has been at N.C. State since Sunday and will visit UConn Wednesday, his AAU coach, Tyron Boswell, told SNY.tv.

“He’s been at N.C. State since yesterday,” Boswell said. “He leaves today.”

Abu recently cut his list to Providence, UConn, Florida and N.C. State.

The Florida visit has not yet been scheduled.

He and Expressions Elite teammate Jared Terrell share only one school in common in Providence and are expected to announce at a press conference in Boston sometime next month.

They both visited Providence along with several other players including Kaleb Joseph, Pascal Chukwu, Donovan Mitchell, Jeremy Miller and Jaylen Brantley.

Joseph, who is down to Providence, Syracuse and West Virginia, will visit West Virginia officially Sept. 27.
