Angel Delgado Doesn’t Have a Top 5 (UPDATED)

Angel Delgado, the rebounding machine who took the Nike EYBL rebounding title this summer, disputed that he has cut his list in any fashion.

“That’s false!!! I haven’t made my top 5 schools yet!” the 6-foot-9 Dominican forward Tweeted.

Dana Dingle, who coaches Delgado with the Long Island Lightning, initially Tweeted that Delgado’s current top five is Kentucky, Seton Hall, Virginia, Florida State and Fordham.

Kentucky has yet to offer, but the other four have.

“Other schools are recruiting him,” Dingle said by text. “That is his top five as of today.”

Dingle added that Louisville and Miami were still recruiting Delgado, who is close to Kentucky assistant Orlando Antigua and former Manhattan assistant Oliver Antigua because of their shared Dominican heritage.

The 6-foot-9 Delgado recently transferred to Huntington (W.V.) Prep.
