Perkins Separates Shoulder, Says He’ll Be OK

Huntington (W.V.) Prep point guard Josh Perkins separated his right shoulder during a game in Las Vegas Friday, but told SNY.tv he will be OK.

“I’ll be alright,” he said by text.

“It’s a bummer not being able to play in your last AAU tournament but there are more games to come down the road.”

Randy Perkins, Josh’s father, recently told SNY.tv that his son had cut his list to five schools — Gonzaga, Minnesota, UCLA, UConn and Kentucky — but Josh said he hasn’t cut the list.

“There isn’t a list, those are the ones who want me the hardest,” Josh told SNY.tv.

He will announce on his birthday, Aug. 25, and is hoping to visit UConn and Kentucky before then.

Kentucky is the only school yet to offer.

“There’s no official offer,” Randy Perkins said. “But I will tell you this, we’re not going to wait for an official offer. If the 25th comes and there’s no offer then he will not be going there.”
