Fans at Indiana already have their eyes on a potential new coach but Dusty May doesn’t seem to be interested.
Indiana announced this week that Mike Woodson will not return next season, and May has been among several big names linked to the job.
“First of all, it’s flattering when you have the path that I had and have, I’m still on the same path, it makes you feel good because what’s your competitive advantages as a student manager [under Bob Knight at Indiana] that transferred in as a marginal Division II player,” May said after Michigan won at Indiana, 70-67. “You think back it’s like, man all I did was show up with great energy and passion for this game and helping people every day and because of that I think people always saw something or believed me and you get to this point.
“But that stuff is crazy. I love being at Michigan, I love our team, we are fighting like crazy, that’s it. This place is my foundation but I’m very, very happy at the University of Michigan.”

There may be nothing that May can do to completely dispel the rumors of him working at Indiana again but May made it clear that, for now at least, he is happy where he is.
“I love being at Michigan,” he said. “That hasn’t crossed my mind other than just what friends and family said and to be honest I’ve eliminated all of that.”
Indiana is amid a five-game skid while No. 24 Michigan has won their last four with a matchup against No. 7 Purdue on Feb. 11.
