Five-star guard V.J. Edgecombe has cut his list to three schools after recently saying he will announce “this season.”
Edgecombe is down to Kentucky, Duke and Baylor after cutting Florida and St. John’s from his list.
“This season, that’s all I’m gonna tell you. This season, that’s all I got for y’all,” the native of the Bahamas and the top unsigned senior in the country told ESPN’s Paul Biancardi after leading his Long Island Lutheran team to the City of Palms championship game, where they lost to Montverde (FL) Academy.

The 6-foot-5 Edgcombe has visited all three schools
Kentucky assistant Chuck Martin and Duke assistant Jai Lucas were among the coaches on hand this week at the tournament.
Edgecombe was brilliant in going for 17 points, 7 assists, 6 steals and 5 rebounds and 1 block — including a couple of highlight-reel dunks — as LuHi dominated Link Academy, 76-63, in the semifinals on Friday night.
How about this dunk from uncommitted @vj_edgecombe of @LuHiBasketball and @SE_Elite_3SSB ?!

That sets up a final against unbeaten Montverde (FL) Academy on Saturday night. The Eagles edged out a tough Paul VI (VA) team, 69-62, in the first semifinal behind 20 points from uncommitted big man Derik Queen.
