Class of 2023 point guard Josh Hubbard decommits from Ole Miss

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Class of 2023 four-star guard Josh Hubbard has asked for a release from his Letter of Intent from Ole Miss in the wake of the coaching change.

“Yessir, I decommitted,” he said by text.

The 5-foot-10, 170-pound point guard from Madison-Ridgeland (MS) Academy chose Ole Miss over in-state rival Mississippi State back in September.

Ranked by the On3 Consensus as the No. 19 point guard and the No. 106 overall prospect in the class of 2023, Hubbard was part of a four-man recruiting class ranked No. 20 by 247Sports.com.

Four-star forward Rashaud Marshall also requested a release from his NLI, as first reported by Joe Tipton.

Ole Miss last week fired Kermit Davis and the school is now evaluating several replacements, including FAU coach Dusty May, former Texas coach Chris Beard and former LSU coach Will Wade.
