Kendric Davis, the leader in points and assits per game in the American Conference, will return to Memphis’ lineup Thursday against Wichita State following an ankle injury that held him out against No. 1 Houston on Sunday.
The 6-foot guard has averaged 21.3 points this season and 5.8 assists en route to being named to the Wooden Award Midseason Top 25 Watch List back in January.
Davis’ return comes just hours after the Tigers ruled starter Keonte Kennedy out for the remainder of the regular season.
Memphis (20-7, 10-4 AAC) currently sit as a bubble team for the NCAA tournament with four games remaining against Wichita State, Cincinnati, SMU, and a rematch at home with Houston.
