Ian Jackson continued his torrid season by scoring 35 points Tuesday night to help Cardinal Hayes clinch the No. 1 seed in the New York Catholic league playoffs.
The 6-foot-6 Class of 2024 guard helped lead Hayes to a 74-68 victory over rival Archbishop Stepinac in White Plains, N.Y. with a variety of dunks, drives and deep shots.
He also recently scored his 1,000th career point.
“Ian continues to grow as a player,” Hayes coach Joe Lods said. “He is improving on both ends of the floor. His jump shooting has improved significantly and he is unselfish as always. He is a gentleman off the court but a fierce competitor between the lines!! I look forward to watching him in Carolina Blue!!”
