Five of the top 16 projected seeds are from Big 12

Five of the top 16 projected seeds in Joe Lunardi’s latest bracketology are from the Big 12: Kansas (1), Texas (2), Baylor (2), Iowa State (3), and Kansas State (4).

With most Big 12 teams still having six league games to play, Texas currently leads the conference standings with Kansas trailing a game behind.

The Longhorns will host the Jayhawks on March 4th in what could be a conference deciding matchup.

Houston, who will join the Big 12 next year, also remains on the one-line while SEC blue-blood Kentucky is one of the “first four out” following a loss to Georgia and a 1-7 record against Quad 1 teams.
