By CHARLIE PARENT

Detroit Mercy guard Antoine Davis made history Saturday with a 42 point performance to land himself second on the all-time NCAA scoring list in an 89-77 win over IUPUI.

The 6-foot-1 senior who now has 3,274 career points surpassed Portland State’s Freeman Williams (3,249) and now only trails basketball legend Pete Maravich (3,667).

Davis also leads the NCAA in points per game this season with 26.2 on a 40.8% clip.

This is the fifth straight year he has posted over 20 points per game for Detroit Mercy.

Davis will be back in action on Monday when the 8-12 Titans host Oakland.
