Class of 2024 Jaiden Glover talks Seton Hall offer, latest on recruitment

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Jaiden Glover is playing at a high level and picking up scholarship offers along the way.

The 6-foot-6, 190-pound shooting guard from The Patrick School picked up an offer from Seton Hall this week and more could be on the way. He previously held offers from St. John’s, Creighton, UNLV, Texas Tech, Rhode Island, Iona, Fordham, Fairfield, UAB and Manhattan. Illinois has also been in touch and he has taken unofficials to St. John’s and Rhode Island.

“[Seton Hall assistant Corey Lowery] said that I fit their style and they like playing big guards,” Glover said of the Seton Hall offer. “They want me to come to as many games as possible.”

Asked if he plans to visit Seton Hall, he said, “Hopefully.”

Glover went for 19 points with four 3-pointers in a 54-46 loss to his old school, Roselle Catholic, on Dec. 29 at Jersey Mike’s Arena.

“It felt good to play against my old team, to show them what I could do and what I was able to do the whole time and show them what they’re missing out on,” he said.

He listed Butler, UNLV, Penn State and St. John’s among the schools recruiting him the hard hardest and broke down each one:

St. John’s: “St John’s called me after the RC game and said they were really excited. They want me to come to as many games as possible.

Butler: “We’ve just been having friendly conversations back and forth with Maurice Joseph.”

Penn State: “We talk every other week with assistant Mike Farrelly.”

UNLV: “They send me motivational quotes and [messages on] Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.”

As for his overall skillset, Glover described himself thusly: “I think I will be able to use my shooting ability, my athletic ability. They definitely want me to play some defense because of my size.”
