NEW YORK — Elijah Moore, a four-star guard in the class of 2024, scored 12 points for Cardinal Hayes (NY.) on Sunday in a 78-48 loss to Christ the King (NY.).
Kentucky’s John Calipari and Orlando Antigua were in attendance along with Seton Hall’s Shaheen Hollway and Van Macon of St. John’s. Carmelo Anthony was also on hand to watch his son Kiyan Anthony play for CTK.
Moore currently holds offers from Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Miami, UConn, Syracuse, Cal, and Notre Dame, among others.
He said Arkansas, Oklahoma State, and Syracuse were the three recruiting him the hardest at this time.
“They [Arkansas coaching staff] try really hard,” Moore told ZAGSBLOG. “They reach out to me every day, I watch their film with them, go through gameplans and stuff like that.”
In terms of what Moore is trying to show coaches each game, he credited his ability to be more than just a shooter an overall well-rounded player.
“I come out flat sometimes and I want to be able to show the coaches I can bounce back,” he said. “I have more to my game then being able to shoot. I’m trying to be more of a leader and make better passes so I can be a guard.”
Moore does not currently have any visits planned but will start the process once the season ends.
