Bobby Pettiford Jr. hadn’t scored a single point all game, but his only 2 points proved to be the game-winner.
With defending national champion No. 3 Kansas trailing Wisconsin by 1 in the final seconds of the Battle 4 Atlantis semifinals, Zach Clemence missed a 3-pointer from top of the arc. Pettiford Jr. raced in from the perimeter, jumped and alertly grabbed the rebound and hit an up-and-under putback layup with .2 seconds to win the game 69-68.

Wisconsin’s Tyler Wahl had put the Badgers (4-1) ahead 68-67 on an isolation drive prior to Kansas’ last possession. He finished with 23 points and 10 rebounds.
Jalen Wilson went for 29 points and 14 rebounds in the win, but didn’t take the shot for the potential game-winner. Kevin McCullar Jr. went for 18 points and 9 rebounds before fouling out late.
Unbeaten No. 3 Kansas (6-0) will face No. 22 Tennessee, a 73-66 winner over USC, in the championship game. The Jayhawks are 2-0 since Bill Self returned from a school-imposed four-game suspension to start the season.
