Class of 2023 point guard Bryce Lindsay commits to Texas A&M

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Bryce Lindsay, the 6-foot-3 combo guard from IMG Academy (FL), committed to Texas A&M on Wednesday.

A three-star prospect ranked the No. 22 combo guard nationally by 247Sports.com, he also considered Villanova and West Virginia.

“My role will be the point guard who will lead the team coming in as a freshman,” he said. “That will prepare me for the NBA because I will be the lead guard going forward.”

Lindsay initially committed to South Carolina in January, but then decommitted in March after the coaching change there and reclassified to 2023.

He is A&M’s first commit for the ’23 class.

“According to dad, the visit was unbelievable and the perfect place for Bryce to grow as a player and young man,” said Jerard Rucker of Team Melo. “Buzz [Williams] will be amazing for Bryce on and off the court.”
