ATLANTA – Atlanta Hawks guards Trae Young and Dejounte Murray stole the show on Saturday night as the Hawks narrowly escaped with a 124-121 overtime win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
Young finished with a game-high 34 points on 9-for-26 shooting (2-for-9 from 3PT), while Murray finished with a 22-point, 11-assist, 10-rebound triple-double. Hawks center Clint Capela was a key contributor with a 21-point, 19-rebound night, also adding four blocks.
In the loss, Pelicans guard CJ McCollum finished with 29 points and 10 rebounds, while Zion Williamson added 29 points of his own to go with eight rebounds.
With the win, the Hawks moved to 6-3 on the season as the Pelicans fell to 5-4.
Next for the Hawks is a home matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday, Nov. 7.
