NBA Academy Africa center Rueben Chinyelu commits to Washington State

By CHARLIE PARENT

Rueben Chinyelu, a 6-foot-10 big-man in the class of 2023, has committed to Washington State.

Chinyelu, who hails from the eastern part of Nigeria, chose the Cougars over Tennessee, Florida, Rutgers, and Santa Clara.

He averaged 10.3 points and 10.7 rebounds in six NBA Academy games in July.

The 18-year-old also made his debut for the Nigerian Senior National Team back in late August.
